A better experience for New Yorkers to access immigration policies

My Role

I worked as a UI/UX consultant alongside the Design agency that handled this organizations rebrand. My role was focused on guiding the team through a process that would  highlight a better alternative to a reformed information architecture and provide data-driven UX direction for the visual redesign of the website.

The challenge

The challenge faced was the website was not structured in an easy to navigate manner. With a rebrand executed, the organization wanted to extend this new look to the website and ensure they pass on a more refined experience to their visitors.

There was also a need to drive donations in a manner that encouraged but not harassed users. 

With limited access to users, we had to explore alternative methods of gathering insights and making informed decisions to drive design.

How can we improve the site experience so visitors get a better understanding of the business and the impact of its work?
